How does on-site medal engraving work?
We laser-engrave the name, time and result onto the medal right at your event. Every finisher holds their personal medal straight away.
How fast is the engraving?
The machine engraves 4 medals per minute. If your results system is connected, engraving can drop to 15 seconds and handing the medal to the participant to about 1 minute. There are no queues for handing out or collecting the finished medals.
What partnership models are there?
Two. With equipment rental, we provide the laser engraving machine together with an operator. You run the whole process yourself: the organizer owns and sells the service, and Witisi Sport GmbH is paid according to a quote agreed in advance. With the engraving service by Witisi, we offer engraving to participants directly at your event, and you receive a commission based on the revenue generated.
What does Witisi handle on site?
An experienced team takes care of setup and branding, briefs the volunteers and handles payment collection, so the engraving runs smoothly.
How does the ordering process work?
- Choose the partnership model.
- Agree on pricing and terms.
- Sign the contract and coordinate technical details.
- Set up and run the engraving on site.
- Complete the final settlement and sign the closing documents.
How do finishers find out about the engraving?
By SMS: finishers get a message that they can have their medal engraved right in the finish area.
Is engraving included in the medal price?
No. On-site engraving is a service of its own, offered separately. We prepare a matching quote once we have your enquiry.
Can I earn money from engraving as an organizer?
Yes. With equipment rental, you sell the engraving to your participants yourself. With the engraving service by Witisi, you receive a commission on the revenue. The service can be booked in advance, and the rates are flexible.
